疊詞（reduplicated word)是漢語的一種特殊詞匯現(xiàn)象，使用非常普遍。漢語的名詞、數(shù)詞、量詞、形容詞、副詞、動(dòng)詞以及象聲詞都有重疊變化。

對(duì)于商務(wù)漢譯英中出現(xiàn)的疊詞，我們可以采取以下幾種方法：

① 借助every, all, each等詞語。

例1 我公司生產(chǎn)的產(chǎn)品樣樣都稱心如意。

譯文：All of our products are very satisfactory.

例2 談判時(shí)不要斤斤計(jì)較。

譯文：Do not haggle over every ounce in the course of negotiation.

例3 他們的營銷戰(zhàn)術(shù)是步步為營、穩(wěn)扎穩(wěn)打。

譯文：Their marketing tactics is to go ahead steadily and entrench themselves at every step, and then strike sure blows.

②使用同一個(gè)單詞，中間用after, in, to, upon，with，and以及連字符 (hyphen)連接起來使用，或者用逗號(hào)（，)隔開重疊使用，它類似于漢語中的重疊現(xiàn)象。

例4 一天一天、一年一年，他們努力為公司研發(fā)新產(chǎn)品。

譯文：Day after day and year after year, they are grinding over new products for the company.

例5 買方要么就一點(diǎn)也不相信我方，要么就完完全全相信。

譯文：Buyers trust us not at all or all in all.

例6 他讀啊讀，讀了整整一天，終于把這合同讀完了。

譯文：He read and read, and finally got the contract through after a whole day.

例7 走呀走，走了很久，我們的銷售員才走到目的地。

譯文：Our salesmen walked on and on. It was after a long walk that they arrived at the deslination.

例8 我方售后服務(wù)員仔仔細(xì)細(xì)檢查了所損貨物。

譯文：Our after-service workers examined the damaged goods very, very carefully。

③ 用復(fù)數(shù)形式翻譯。

例9 一群一群的人蜂擁般走進(jìn)股票證券交易所。

譯文：Crowds of people swarmed into the exchange of bonds and shares.

例10 大批大批的貨物被擱在港口。

譯文：Thousands of goods have been held up al the seaport.

④進(jìn)行綜合處理，用語義相符的英文表達(dá)方式。

例11 經(jīng)理聽著聽著不覺哈哈大笑起來。

譯文：As the manager listened he burst into laughter.

例12 我們的事情太多了，做都做不完。

譯文：There are too many things for us to attend to.

例13 他思緒滾滾，早已忘卻約會(huì)一事。

譯文：He had been so busy with his own emotion that he had forgotten about the appointment.

例14 我們應(yīng)扎扎實(shí)實(shí)地杷這個(gè)問題解決好。

譯文：We must work in a down-to-earth way.

⑤采用have( or make, take，give，etc. ) +名詞的結(jié)構(gòu)。此結(jié)構(gòu)中的名詞大多與動(dòng)作動(dòng)詞有詞源關(guān)系。

例15 這東西需要檢查檢查。

譯文：It's necessary to have a check-up.

例16 你們倆交換交換意見。

譯文：You two have an exchange of views.

例17 讓他試試那件產(chǎn)品。

譯文：Let him have a try on the product.

例18 請(qǐng)聞一聞牛奶的氣味。

譯文：Please take a smell at lhe milk.

⑥采用英語的回聲同（echo-word)。

例19我們不得不零零星星地償付。

譯文：We have to pay in dribs and drabs.

例20 那條小徑曲曲折折通向山頂。

譯文：The path zigzags up the hill.

⑦采用英語頭韻、押韻詞。 

例21 祝大家平平安安。

譯文:Wish all you safe and sound.

例22 現(xiàn)在我們公司干干凈凈，但過去卻亂七八糟。 

譯文：Our firm is neat and clean now sbut it was topsy-turvy in the past.

例23 兩家公司都被弄得顛顛倒倒，混亂不堪。

譯文：The two companies are turned topsy-turvy.

例24 我們聽到雨夾雪打在冰凍的玻璃上，發(fā)出滴滴答答的聲音。

譯文:We heard the tick-tack of sleet on frosted windowpanes. 

⑧采用加強(qiáng)語勢(shì)的辦法。

例25 他們的房間曖烘烘的。

譯文：Their room was good and warm.

例26 對(duì)待客戶要滿腔熱忱，不能冷冷冰冰，漠不關(guān)心。

譯文：We should be warm towards our clients, not ice cold or indifferent.

⑨根據(jù)上下文,體咪其意思，選擇意義相近的詞語。

例27 更換產(chǎn)品是萬萬不行的。

譯文：Replacement is absolutely out of the question.

例28 我萬萬沒有想到會(huì)少裝運(yùn)了 5噸食糖。

譯文：This idea never occurred to me we had short delivered 5 tons of sugar.

例29 由于管理不善，市場(chǎng)份額漸漸少了。

譯文：Due to poor management，the share of market gradually dwindled.
